Daily Grade
Privacy policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Daily Grade is an app for grading your own day. This page explains what it stores, where, and how you can delete it. In short: your grades are yours, they are stored only to run the app for you, and they are never sold, shared with advertisers or used for ads.

What the app stores

The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera, and it contains no advertising or third-party analytics.

Where it is stored

When you sign in with Google, your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), a service run by Google LLC, so it syncs between your devices. Data is sent over encrypted connections, and security rules allow only your own signed-in account to read or write it. A copy is also cached on your device so the app works offline.

If you use the app without an account ("Try it on this device" or "Explore with sample data"), everything stays in your device's storage and is never sent anywhere.

How it is used

Only to run the app for you: to show your history, calculate streaks, reports and insights, and remind you to grade your day. Insights and patterns are calculated on your device. Reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications.

Sharing

Your data is not sold or shared. The only time something leaves the app is when you choose to share a report card or export your grades, and then it goes only where you send it.

Deleting your data

You can also ask for deletion by email (below). Deleted data is removed from Firebase right away; Google's backups expire on their own schedule.

Children

Daily Grade is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change, and important changes will be shown in the app.
